In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the last day for candidate nominations saw various coalition parties fielding candidates against their own allies. This cames as Tuesday, 29 October is the last day to file nominations with the scrutiny of papers set for Wednesday, 30 October. Candidates have until 4 November to withdraw their nominations.
As the nomination ends, friendly fights are emerging within the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the opposition coalition, Maha Vikas Aghadi. The final candidate list will be clarified by 4 November.

Here are the prominent constituencies where coalition partners have nominated candidates against each other:
- Miraj Assembly Seat: Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) has nominated Tanaji Satpute, while Congress has fielded Mohan Vankhede.
- Sangola Assembly Seat: Shiv Sena (UBT) fielded Deepak Aaba Salunkhe, while the Shetkari Kamgar Party has given a ticket to Babasaheb Deshmukh.
- South Solapur Assembly Seat: Congress has nominated Dilip Mane, whereas Uddhav Thackeray has given a ticket to Amar Patil.
- Pandharpur: Bhagirath Bhalke is contesting on a Congress ticket, while Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SP has announced Anil Sawant as his candidate.
- Paranda Assembly Seat: The Uddhav faction has shown confidence in Ranjit Patil, while Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction has nominated Rahul Mote.
- Digras Seat: Pawan Jaiswal represents Shiv Sena (UBT), with Manikrao Thakre as the Congress candidate.
- Anushaktinagar Assembly Seat: Ajit Pawar-led NCP has nominated Nawab Malik’s daughter, Sana Malik, while Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has given a ticket to Avinash Rane.
- Warud Morshi Seat: Devendra Bhuyar will contest on an NCP ticket, while Umesh Yawalkar represents the BJP.
- Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Seat: Ajit Pawar-led NCP has nominated Nawab Malik, while the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena has given a ticket to Suresh Patil.
Voting for the 288 Assembly seats in Maharashtra will take place in a single phase on 20 November, with results expected to be announced on 23 November.
