In Prakasam district, political speculation is growing around former YSRC leader Siddha Raghava Rao, who is reportedly preparing to join the NDA. A businessman-turned-politician, Siddha left the YSRC months ago, sparking rumors of an immediate shift to the TDP. However, his re-entry into the TDP faced delays, with reports suggesting that party leader N Chandrababu Naidu halted his return due to opposition from Nara Lokesh. Lokesh allegedly cited concerns over the Sidda family’s previous shift from the TDP to YSRC, despite having held significant positions within the party and government.
Siddha Raghava Rao, who served as the R&B Minister and TDP treasurer, has been making persistent efforts to return to the TDP, meeting with Naidu and other top leaders. Although recent discussions yielded no definitive outcomes, sources close to Siddha indicate he remains hopeful, having made several covert approaches to the TDP leadership and is optimistic about an eventual position within the party.
A close aide shared that Siddha’s followers are confident of his return to the TDP, expecting an official announcement soon, possibly including a nominated post.
