An 18-year-old student named Aryan was tragically killed, and two of his friends were seriously injured in an attack outside a coaching institute in Narwana, Jind, on Monday evening. Aryan, a resident of Dhakal village, was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of seven to eight youths. His friends, who attempted to intervene and protect him, were also attacked but are now in stable condition, receiving treatment at Narwana Civil Hospital.
According to Uchana DSP Naveen, the attack occurred around 4 pm when Aryan and his friends exited the coaching center. The attackers, who had been waiting outside, specifically asked Aryan to identify himself before launching the assault. The trio had been attending coaching for competitive exams, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
The police have launched a manhunt for the assailants and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify them. An FIR will be registered under charges of murder and attempted murder as the investigation continues.
