An explosion occurred at a CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi, on Sunday morning, causing damage to several shops and vehicles. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The day after the incident, all CRPF schools across India received an email threatening bomb explosions at their premises, with a deadline of 11 am on Tuesday, according to sources. Authorities launched an immediate investigation, which revealed the threat was a hoax.
Delhi is home to two CRPF schools, located in Rohini and Dwarka. The blast at the Rohini school damaged part of the wall, and the incident is currently under investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), CRPF, and the National Security Guard (NSG). The Delhi Police have also registered a case.
This hoax threat against CRPF schools follows a series of similar threats targeting flights since mid-October. Reports indicate that over 100 flights have been targeted with such threats, including 30 on Monday night and 10 more on Tuesday. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu emphasized that ensuring safety is a top priority, and new rules are being considered to include those making such threats on the no-fly list.
