A Vistara flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai received a security threat alert on Thursday via a social media platform. The aircraft, flight UK 028, landed safely at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at approximately 7:45 am. Following the standard security protocols, the flight was directed to the isolation bay, where all passengers were safely evacuated.
A Vistara spokesperson confirmed that the airline immediately informed relevant authorities of the threat. The airline emphasized that passenger and crew safety is their top priority. Security agencies are now conducting thorough checks to clear the aircraft for further operations.
This incident is part of a larger series of hoax bomb threats affecting both domestic and international flights in India, with many of these threats being made on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in recent days.
