BJP MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal made a unique entrance at a polling station in Kurukshetra, Haryana, arriving on horseback to cast his vote for the Haryana Assembly election. Jindal, who had previously been a member of the Congress, joined the BJP earlier this year in March, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
His mother, Savitri Jindal, chairperson of the O.P. Jindal Group, is running as an independent candidate in the Hisar constituency. She is up against Haryana’s sitting MLA and minister, Kamal Gupta, in a closely watched contest. After casting her vote, Savitri Jindal encouraged the people of Haryana to actively participate in the electoral process and exercise their right to vote.
