‘Decision to return MUDA sites CM’s wife’s alone’: Byrathi Suresh

In response to the controversy surrounding the MUDA site allotments, Kolar district in-charge minister Byrathi Suresh clarified that the decision to return the sites allotted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathy BM, was made by her. The 14 plots in question, which have caused a stir, were in her name, and the matter is currently before the court.

Suresh emphasized that there is no directive for Siddaramaiah to resign as chief minister and asserted that Siddaramaiah’s four-decade political career remains untainted. He expressed confidence that the CM would emerge clean, as he is not involved in any site allotment irregularities.

Suresh also dismissed allegations made by Union Minister for Steel Kumaraswamy and criticized BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal’s comments about a conspiracy to unseat Siddaramaiah. He suggested that Yatnal’s claim should be investigated. Addressing an internal conflict within the Kolar District Congress Committee, Suresh mentioned that a meeting will be held to resolve the issues, which arose from disagreements over a candidate selection during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
