The U.P International Trade Show 2.0, a five-day mega expo, is set to begin on September 25 at the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. The event will showcase Uttar Pradesh’s expanding skill base and growing talent pool, with a special focus on vocational education and the UP Skill Development Mission.
A dedicated pavilion has been created to highlight the achievements of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and the UP Skill Development Mission. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of nine specific skills presented by the state’s department of vocational education, skill development, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking ahead of the event, Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, emphasized the state’s commitment to creating new employment opportunities for its youth. He noted that the trade show provides an excellent platform for showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s talent on a global stage, allowing skilled professionals to present their capabilities to international visitors.
“The primary goal of the event is to establish Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub,” Aggarwal said, adding that it will also showcase the state’s achievements across key sectors related to skills, talent, employment, and entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to boost the economic and industrial development of the state while offering valuable international exposure to Uttar Pradesh’s youth.
The trade show will serve as a significant opportunity for the state to present itself as a key player in the global market, attracting interest and investment in its growing workforce and skill development programs.
