The West Bengal government has extended a final invitation to agitating junior doctors for a meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The Chief Secretary, Manoj Pant, sent an email to the junior doctors’ representatives, inviting them for talks for the fifth and final time.
The letter emphasized that the meeting, scheduled to be held at the Chief Minister’s Kalighat residence, will not be recorded through live streaming or videography due to ongoing Supreme Court proceedings. However, the meeting’s minutes will be recorded and signed by both parties.
The government’s invitation follows previous attempts to resolve the dispute, and it highlights a willingness to engage in discussions with an open mind, as stated in the letter.
