4 co-owners of IAS coaching centre where 3 aspirants died, get bail by Delhi high court

On Friday, the Delhi High Court granted interim bail to four co-owners of a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar, where a tragic incident in July led to the deaths of three IAS aspirants in its basement. The bail will remain in effect until January 30.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma, who presided over the case, ordered the co-owners to contribute ₹5 crore to the Red Cross, citing their “act of greed” in leasing out the basement.

Additionally, the court requested that the lieutenant governor establish a committee, chaired by a retired high court judge, to ensure that all coaching centres operate with proper authorization and to designate appropriate areas for such institutions.
