The Chief Minister, who handles the Home Department, is under suspicion; A central agency should conduct a thorough investigation into PV Anwar’s allegations; Dr. Rajeev Menon

Dr Rajeev Menon, General Secretary of the Republican Party National Organization, said that PV Anwar MLA’s accusations have put even Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who handles the Home Department, under suspicion. Phone hacking is an invasion of personal freedom. Anwar admits that he hacked the phones of police officers and their wives in this way. Dr. Rajeev Menon said that there is no possibility of the investigation going forward when the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who handles Kerala’s internal affairs, is under suspicion and the national agency should conduct a comprehensive investigation in this regard. As Pinarayi Vijayan himself is directly managing the internal affairs of Kerala, the ruling MLA’s accusations have now caused great embarrassment to the Cabinet and the Chief Minister. This is not a matter to be taken lightly as the accused are at the helm. Dr. Rajeev Menon said that there should be a detailed investigation on this from the side of the central agency.

It is a serious allegation made by PV Anwar that the phone messages of ministers, political leaders and police officers were leaked. But Dr. Rajeev Menon said that the Republican Party suspects that PV Anwar has leaked the phone conversations of all important journalists in Kerala. He said that it is suspected that the phone calls of the opposition political parties and former political leaders of the party have been hacked. PV Anwar’s allegations are serious. Confession of phone hacking by police officers will put pressure on even honest police officers and tarnish our proud police force. That is why a thorough investigation is needed. Dr. Rajeev Menon added that there should be a detailed investigation on this by the central agency.
