Poco is all set to launch a new tablet in India. The company has revealed that the device will be launched in India on August 23. Now, ahead of the launch, the key specs of the device have been spotted on Geekbench, the popular benchmarking website. Notably, the Poco Pad is already available in the global markets. The specs are expected to remain the same.
The Poco Pad 5G has been spotted with the model number 24074PCD2I, which is the same one listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This new listing shows that the tablet will come with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM, just like the global version.In benchmark tests, the Poco Pad 5G scored 1,035 points for single-core performance and 2,978 points for multicore, matching the results from our review of the tablet. The listing also indicates that the tablet will run on Android 14, likely with Xiaomi’s HyperOS on top.
Poco Pad: Specifications
The Poco Pad is a sleek and lightweight tablet with a height of 280.00mm, a width of 181.85mm, and a thickness of 7.52mm, weighing 571g. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Mobile Platform, with an octa-core CPU that can reach speeds up to 2.4GHz, and a Qualcomm Adreno GPU. The tablet comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 1.5TB.
The Poco Pad features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, offering a sharp 249 ppi. It supports a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. The display is bright, reaching 500 nits typically and 600 nits in high brightness mode, and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also offers advanced features like Dolby Vision, adaptive colors, adaptive reading mode, and low blue light certificate.
For photography, the Poco Pad has an 8MP rear camera that supports 1080P video recording at 30fps, and an 8MP front camera with similar video capabilities.
The tablet is equipped with a large 10,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and multiple sensors like an accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android U, and comes with essential accessories like a USB Type-C cable, adapter, and an SD card eject tool in the package.
