‘HappyVoice’ to help the elderly: The Social Welfare Department will coordinate with the Ministry of Social Welfare all the necessary things for Wayanad, Founder Dr. Rajeev Menon

‘HappyVoice’ has come to the aid of the elderly people who have been stranded in wayanad landslide victims. The ngo HappyVoice aims to provide a facility to the elderly to stay in Wayanad till a comprehensive government scheme is implemented. Happy Voice will provide all the facilities required for the elderly, including counselling, health care, etc. During the last Covid and floods, Happy Voice was actively involved in the face of disaster. Happy Voice will ensure the health care and well-being of the elderly who have lost their near and dear ones in the disaster site of Wayanad. Dr Rajeev Menon, founder of HappyVoice, said that the Department of Social Welfare will coordinate with the Ministry of Social Welfare in all aspects of Wayanad.

While assistance is coming in from many quarters for Wayanad, no special schemes for the elderly have been envisaged so far. Dr Rajeev Menon said, “Happy Voice is committed to providing more assistance to the affected area during the rehabilitation phase.
He added that the landslide in Wayanad has caused a lot of damage and urged people to stand together to shed tears for the victims. Dr. Rajeev Menon said that HappyVoice will take the initiative to provide more help as and when required, it will provide all necessary psychological support to the affected people.
