India At Paris Olympics 2024: Full List Of Results For All Indian Athletes On July 31

It was a great day for India at the Paris Olympics on Day 5 i.e on July 31, 2024. It can also be argued that this was the most satisfactory day for the Indian contingent at the blockbuster quadrennial event in Paris this year. The shooters continued to impress at the Olympics, the Indian boxing contingent finally managed to break through. Even the badminton stars shined.

The men’s 50m three-position rifle event was a mixed bag for India. Two medal hopefuls were action at the qualification round. While Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar finished 11th in the contest, and was knocked out, Swapnil Kusale created history by becoming the first Indian to qualify for the final in the event’s history at the Olympics.

PV Sindhu trounced her way into the quarter-final of the women’s singles category of the Paris Olympics by defeating Kristin Kuuba, while Lakshya Sen defeated world no.3 Jonatan Cristie to qualify for the quarter-final of the competition.

Lovlina Borgohain finally became the first boxer to win a match at the Paris Olympics 2024, as she entered the quarter-final of the event, thus being just a win away from confirming a medal. Nishant Dev followed Borgohain into the quarter-final and is too just one win away from confirming a medal. Hence, India can hope of getting as many as two medals from boxing this time around.

Deepika Kumari also entered the quarter-final of the women’s singles archery event.
